Freak Title is a digital revival of the “Freak Title” alphabet by Al. Imelli’, as seen in the 1922 The Book of Alphabets and Layouts. Originally shown as ‘Freak Title Nos. 102 and 103’, the letters first caught my eye for their strange mix of awkward elegance and funky personality.
I redrew and balanced the original forms, expanded the character set with numbers, symbols, letter alternates, and built them into a functional contemporary typeface while trying not to polish away what made them freaks in the first place.
These strange old letters are ready to get weird again!
Extended Latin support covering most Western, Central, Northern, and Southeastern European languages.
